چکیده

Currently, it has been suggested that human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), a well-known multipotent cells, could modify the biological process in leukemia cells. Therefore, we evaluated MSCs’ possible effects on apoptosis and proliferation of acute lymphoblastic (ALL) MOLT-4 Accordingly, were co-cultured with MSCs. Then, 24, 48, 72 hours after treatment, percentages cell was estimated using flow cytometry analysis. Also, rates measured by MTT assay treatment. Finally, expression ratio candidate genes, including Bax, Bcl-2, caspase-3, -8, Based results, MSCs stimulated 48 but not 24 treatment compared control group (MOLT-4 cells). induced robust reduction rate group. On other hand, Real-Time PCR results indicated decrease Bcl-2 expression, conversely promotion -8 at mRNA levels. In sum, signified exert anti-leukemic through promoting Bax/Bcl-2 ration concomitant up-regulating caspases expression.

Synergistic Effect of Subtoxic-dose Cisplatin and TRAIL to Mediate Apoptosis by Down-regulating Decoy Receptor 2 and Up-regulating Caspase-8, Caspase-9 and Bax Expression on NCI-H460 and A549 Cells

Objective(s): Although tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) can selectively induce apoptosis in tumor cells, more than half of tumors including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) exhibit TRAIL-resistance. The purpose of this study was to determine whether subtoxic-dose cisplatin and TRAIL could synergistically enhance apoptosis on NSCLC cells and investigate its under...

Matrine inhibits diethylnitrosamine-induced HCC proliferation in rats through inducing apoptosis via p53, Bax-dependent caspase-3 activation pathway and down-regulating MLCK overexpression

The proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells is one of the leading causes of liver cancer mortality in humans. The inhibiting effects of matrine on HCC cell proliferation have been studied, but the mechanism of that inhibition has not been fully elucidated. Since, apoptosis plays an important role in HCC cell proliferation. We examined the apoptosis-inducing effect of matrine on tu...

Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate Induces Apoptosis through Up-regulation of Bax and Down-regulation of Bcl-2 in Prostate Cancer Cell Line

Background and Aims: Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is a polyphenolic compound from green tea, which its anticancer effects on many types of cancers have been confirmed, but the molecular mechanism by which EGCG induces apoptosis remains unknown. The aim of the present study was to investigate anti-proliferative properties and apoptotic signaling pathway of EGCG on PC3 human prostate cancer ...
